We take membership seriously at UCB, and we hope you do as well. You must be a professing, baptized Christian, who is able to articulate your profession of faith during an informal interview with members of UCB’s leadership. After that, you will take public vows during one of our Sunday morning services. As an international church, we allow dual membership in your home country church with membership at UCB.

  3. Do you now promise, in humble reliance upon the grace of the Holy Spirit, that you will strive to live as a follower of Christ?
  4. Do you promise to support the church in its worship and work to the best of your ability?
  5. Do you submit yourself to the government and discipline of the church, and promise to protect its purity and peace?

Youth Group

There has never been a more strategic time in history to engage the next generation with the Gospel. Here at UCB, we take this covenantal call to make young disciples seriously as we seek to journey with young people both in our church and in the community. We have a particular heart for serving international students growing up between two cultures. In addition to special events like movie nights, retreats, lock-ins and general shenanigans, we meet regularly throughout the week in hopes of nurturing students’ love for Jesus and his church.

The Young Adult Singles group at UCB meets approximately every 2 weeks for lunch and Bible Study on Sunday afternoons. For more information about plugging into our young adult community, please contact Dick or Joanne. You can also find us on Facebook!

Marriage is a blessing and a gift from God, a union that was designed from the time that man was created. In Genesis 2:18-24, it says:

18 The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.” 19 Now the Lord God had formed out of the ground all the wild animals and all the birds in the sky. He brought them to the man to see what he would name them; and whatever the man called each living creature, that was its name. 20 So the man gave names to all the livestock, the birds in the sky and all the wild animals. But for Adam no suitable helper was found. 21 So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man’s ribs and then closed up the place with flesh. 22 Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man. 23 The man said, “This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called ‘woman,’ for she was taken out of man.” 24 That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh.

But marriage can also be difficult, and two people coming together to build a life can be a challenge. If you are newly married, engaged, or in a serious relationship that you believe will lead to marriage, then this group is for you. We meet on Sunday mornings at 9:30 AM at the church to talk about marriage, living together, loving together, and all the blessings and challenges that come as a result.

Throughout the year, grow deeper in your faith and understanding of the Bible through the Adult Sunday Morning Classes. We have offered classes on differing views of Baptism, raising cross-cultural kids, Basic Christianity and other topics. Have a special interest?
